How Benny’s Blog began…
January 2009 – Hello everyone! My name’s Benny. Phew, what an honour! When Rielle suggested I should have my very own blog, I thought, ‘What in blazes is a blog?’ After Rielle patiently explained, I thought, ‘Gee you humans have funny ways of communicating… here in the forest we just share our thoughts. I went for a gallop to one of my favourite places called RIELLE’S ROCK, and by the time I got back, I loved the idea… my very own blog! And I’ve even thought of a name for it… Benny’s Blog -Thoughts of a Modern Day Unicorn! Wow, I’m going to love having a blog I’ve decided! Time for another gallop… see you all soon!
February 2009 – Wow! Did you hear the news? The Illawarra Mercury’s Children’s Prize Pages Competition for Feb 2009, is giving 5 lucky humans a chance to win the book WISH and one of the Benny Posters! Good luck everyone! Time for lunch… see you all again soon!
March 2009 – Fantastic! Congratulations to the terrific artists who won a copy of WISH. Wow, I just loved your pictures of me and Rielle! Prizes went to: Olive Ivanoff, Alice Nolan, Ava Riddell, Jade Sheppard and Isabelle Madden. We hope you love WISH! Thanks for all your great entries. Time for another look at myself in your drawings… see you all again soon!
April 2009 – Hi everybody! We’re in April, and I’m no April Fool… I’m going to the
Pond in case I have to run away from anyone with tricks up their sleeves. See you all in May!
May 2009 – Hi everyone… it’s getting cold here in the forest, but I love it… soon we might even have snow, and that’s the best fun because I’m the same colour as snow and all I have to do to hide is stand in the middle of it, bury my feet and shut my eyes! Congratulations to Janey Tarrant of Western Australia for winning a poster pack when she bought a copy of WISH… we hope you love the posters, Janey! As you all know, we’re getting an interactive Benny’s Blog page soon and then I really look forward to talking with you all out there in the outside world! Time for snow hunting…see you all soon!

Rielle and Pud said to say hello. They are having another adventure. Wish they woiuld settle down, Ha, I just said “Wish” and I meant it, maybe they’ll find a nice yurt of their own and have a break from all these adventures. Adventurers need holidays too you know! Try telling that to Rielle though.
